Abstract
Thumb takes up more than 40 % of hand-function. Especially in case of multiple hand injuries thumb-function plays even more important role and thus various methods for reconstruction of thumb have been introduced so far.
Reconstructive methods of thumb have been introduced such as phalangization, pollicization,
osteoplastic reconstruction, toe to thumb reconstruction, and so forth.
Each type of reconstructive procedure is indicated for a specific level of amputation of injury. We obtained satisfactory results in 4 cases of thumb-lost patients, two for pollicization, one
for osteoplastic reconstruction, and one for toe-to-thumb reconstruction(wrap-around procedure).
